One of the last couture workshops left in the world, Maison Lesage is a venerable atelier specializing in embroidery for major fashion houses of the early 20th century with the likes of Elsa Schiaperalli to current day Chanel.
This rare example is from the archive of a late 1940s original design. Every stitch and bead is applied by hand in true couture craft. The beads are individually made from bone. Items like this are a reminder of the slowly vanquishing artisans known as “petites mains”. Cream linen back. Pair Available.
