One of the last couture workshops left in the world, Maison Lesage is a venerable atelier specializing in embroidery for major fashion houses of the early 20th century with the likes of Elsa Schiaperalli to current day Chanel.

Every stitch and bead is applied by hand in true couture craft. Items like this are a reminder of the slowly vanquishing artisans known as “petites mains”. Embroidery on raw silk front with cream linen velvet back.

Photographed without insert.
Feather/Down insert available with purchase.
